Thom Corn was a friend of Grady's - they met at a number of East Village events and began to paint together with a group of artists known as "The Maroons". Grady and Thom often worked on large scale paintings. They also created art installations, sculptures, and work from objects that they found around the East Village landscape. After Grady's death Lori Leistyna eventually left the East Village and gave Thom a number of Grady's paintings and sculptures.
